I’ve always loved music—how it can energize us, reflect passion, bring joy, comfort us in sadness, and become a form of worship to our Creator God.

When I was ten, my mom signed me up for guitar lessons. Unfortunately, I rebelled after just two sessions because I wanted to be outside playing baseball instead. I loved baseball, but now I often wish I’d stuck with those lessons. Over the years, I’ve dabbled in learning the guitar and the ukulele, but haven't made great strides. Sadly, I never quite learned to read music, either.

What I can do, though, is write. In 2015, what began as a simple poem evolved into a song called “The Good Days.” I even added a harmony and sang it a few times, though I never did much with it. In 2017 I wrote “Jeepin’,” inspired by my love for going topless in the Jeep with the wind in my hair, which I finally had produced and released on May 22, 2026. That was an incredible experience and I'm hoping it catches on in the Jeep community.  I also helped a friend with lyrics for her worship song, His Side.

Last summer, in August 2025, something special happened. Inspired by my love of horses, my volunteer work at a local horse rescue, and the dream of bringing horses to Beloved Roots Ranch, I sat down and wrote “The Heart of a Horse.” The lyrics poured out in under an hour, melody and all. It captured the beauty, strength, and healing spirit of these incredible animals.

At a friend's encouragement, I copyrighted the lyrics and melody and began the journey to officially release the song. My hope is to share it with the world and use any proceeds to support the mission of Beloved Roots Ranch, our horses, and the veterans who will visit. The plan is to use it as part of a fundraiser for Beloved Roots Ranch. Potential release: June, 2026.

This page serves as a growing collection of my songs and lyrics, a glimpse into my creative journey. I look forward to what’s ahead, and I hope you’ll join me for the music still to come.

Jeepin’ is a sun-soaked escape from traffic, routine, and the weight of everyday life; a beachy backroad anthem about freedom, open skies, and finding peace somewhere between the sand, the breeze, and the next turn in the road.

The Heart of a Horse

Written by Chris Spradley

“The Heart of a Horse” is a reflective country ballad inspired by the quiet healing connection between horses and those carrying unseen pain. Set against themes of resilience, trust, and emotional restoration, the song tells the story of a veteran discovering comfort not through words, but through the steady presence of a horse. Written with warmth and honesty, it captures the beauty, strength, and silent understanding that make horses such powerful companions in the healing journey.

Coming in June to these platforms
